ABOUT US

Changing The Conversation Together (CTC) is dedicated to “deep canvassing” as a tool for building a more inclusive democracy and a progressive majority.

Deep canvassing—where we connect face-to-face with potential voters by sharing stories—is the most effective form of voter persuasion ever measured.

After our pilot campaign helped flip Staten Island blue in 2018, CTC shifted focus to Pennsylvania. We completed 12,821 conversations with potential voters before the last presidential election. Our canvassing had a major impact there, especially among people who almost never turn out: talking with a CTC volunteer boosted the likelihood they’d vote by 29%.

CTC is building on our Philadelphia-area successes, now with three local staff and a volunteer base in the hundreds. We canvass year-round—for judicial elections, to protect open voting going forward … for the 2022 midterms, with crucial open races for Governor and U.S. Senator ... and for the next Presidential election, where PA will again be a linchpin.

CTC is an independent, volunteer-run organization, not affiliated with any party.  Our mission, beyond any specific race, is to help grow an electorate that embraces compassion and inclusion.

CTC is guided by an organizing team of leaders and staff. The team meets regularly to evaluate, discuss results, and design strategies to help maintain, and grow this effort.
